This is in spite of the fact that high heel shoes have been linked to a number of health challenges ranging from corns to schizophrenia. The health challenges associated with high heel shoes notwithstanding, Cerruto said her research showed it was time to stand up for the high heels. She said her study of 66 women under 50 found that those who held their foot at a 15 degree angle to the ground, the equivalence of a…

Recent research findings have shown that the chances of hitting that age is slimmer for people who indulge in processed and unprocessed meat. Many mothers-to-be relish the idea of nine months of eating and giving in to cravings of pickles and ice cream. But, a new study indicates that women who gain excessive weight during pregnancy are more likely to have heavier babies, and these children may grow up with long-term adverse health consequences. To arrive at this research finding, Zachary Ferraro, a PhD candidate at the children hospital of eastern Ontario research Institute at the University of Ottawa, Canada, analysed the weight gain of more than 500,000 mothers in the United States who gave birth to more than 1.1 million infants over a period of 14 years. He also reported that excessive weight gain during pregnancy increases not only the infant’s…
