How Car Air Conditioner Causes Cancer

Are you fond of turning on your car air condition system as you enter the car? Well, you may want to have a rethink as the habit has been described as dangerous to your health.

Recent research discoveries have shown that the dashboard of a car emits benzene, a cancer-causing toxin called carcinogen. The veracity of the research can early be determined by taking time to observe the smell of heated plastic in the car. In addition to causing cancer, benzene poisons the bones, causes anaemia and ridicules white blood cells. Prolonged exposure, researchers say, will cause leukaemia, increasing the risk of cancer. It can also cause miscarriage.

Scientists say acceptable benzene level indoors is 50mg per sq ft. A car parked indoors with windows closed will contain between 400 to 800mg of benzene. If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 70 degrees, the benzene level goes up to 2000-4000mg, 40 times the acceptable level. People who get into the car, keeping windows closed will inevitably inhale, in quick succession excessive amounts of the toxin. Benzene is a toxin that affects the kidney and liver. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult for the body to expel this toxic stuff.

Therefore, next time you are going out with the car, please do not turn on the air condition as soon as you enter. Open the windows and doors of the car, and allow time for the deadly interior air to clear out before you enter. You can then turn on the air condition after a couple of minutes.
