Oshiomhole wins Edo State governorship election

Oshiomhole wins Edo State governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Adams Oshiomhole as the winner of the July 14 governorship election in Edo State.

 

Oshiomhole the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN won with 477,478 votes over PDP's 144,235 votes. Total of 17,599 votes cancelled. The ACN won in the 18 local governments in the state.

 

EDO STATE governorship election results:

TOTAL REGISTERED VOTERS=1,651,099
TOTAL ACN VOTES=477,478
TOTAL ANPP VOTES=3,642
TOTAL CPC VOTES=2,793
TOTAL LABOUR VOTES =604
TOTAL NCP VOTES=540
TOTAL PDP VOTES=144,235
TOTAL SDMP VOTES=807
TOTAL NUMBER OF VALID VOTES=630,099
TOTAL NUMBER OF REJECTED VOTES=17,599
TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES CAST=647,698
